Hogeschool van Amsterdam - All to Active Directory

logo-hvaAfter the merger of the School of Economic Studies (HES) with the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HVA), Arvid Janssen, then manager of the management department of the HvA, was asked to manage two workplace concepts: 1. Client/ Server (HVA) and 2. Server Based Computing (HES). Due to cost considerations and infrastructural development, it was necessary to centralize the Active Directory containing users and groups of users. Login Consultants advised how to do the job and drew up the necessary management documents.

The challenges

  • Advice and Active Directory design for two different workplace environments.
  • Migration Citrix environment to new hardware
  • Establish management framework for Citrix environment management and writing documentation, management and transfer of knowledge
  • Advice on new workplace design.

The effect

The core of the work is the establishment of a central Active Directory for about 80,000 accounts, spread over two different workplace concepts. Transfer of knowledge on the management of such environments is crucial.

The predictability of the system and thus the reliability is guaranteed.
