Login Consultants has successfully performed migrations at several large and medium-sized companies. In all cases, the focus was on a timely completion of the project within the predetermined budget.
We have written down our approach in a method in which a close collaboration with the IT department, the business and the user is crucial. Login Consultants also not only looks to the technical implementation, but we also take Project Management, Service Management and an important part of the communication management for our account. Our proven methodology relies on five steps:
Discovery - Together with the IT department, the business and the user, we define the current environment. We do that with our own tooling and by taking surveys.
To-be-design - After the investigative phase, we determine, based on the predefined requirements, the setup of the new situation.
Preparation - Next, we investigate whether the determined design also works through Proof of Concepts and performance studies.
Roll-Out - If the design has been tested and proven to be functional, the workstations will be deployed in phases. A self-service migration can be chosen here, where users choose to migrate at their own convenience.
After-care - Login Consultants is looking sideways whether the migration has achieved the desired effect and helps the IT organization to make adjustments if necessary.
In the Five Steps Migration Method, much attention is paid to aspects such as force field analysis, political awareness, active participation, creating support, communication and stakeholder management. Furthermore, the vision of Login Consultants aims for a migration that creates added value for the organization. A migration is often seen as something that “must” be done, but actually it has to bring an improvement.
