This is the App-V Self Support tool, created by Peter Nap.
This is a light-weight, super user friendly App-V client tool which does not require MMC access.
Login Consultants releases the brand new and free VSI 2.1, a specifically designed benchmark for SBC and VDI environments. VSI loads the system with simulated user workload, and focuses on how much users can run on the system before it saturates. VSI is 100% platform and protocol independent, and VSI configuration is simplified and automated where possible. As a result, VSI is a turn-key benchmark solution: perform tests within days instead of weeks. No need to create the workloads first. VSI is intended to be used by VDI/SBC engineers/admins, a degree in testing methodologies is not required.
VSI 2.1 introduces new workloads, and an improved indexing method: VSImax. Overall, VSI 2.1 will be a much smoother experience in comparison to earlier versions, many best practices and lessons learned from project VRC are now included in this release. The free version is called “VSI 2.1 Express”, the advanced version is “VSI 2.1 PRO”.
The most important 2.x features are:
- Completely new, more realistic, medium workload
- Support for IE8, Office 2010, Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2
- Highly improved robustness (even under extreme loads)
- Improved response timer mechanism and index: VSImax
- Over 100 fixes and usability improvements
- Multilanguage Support (PRO only)
- Other workloads such as: light, heavy and multimedia (PRO only)
- External clock calibration and response time measurement (PRO only)
- Customization Support (PRO only)
You need to be logged on to download. The App-V USB Tool is an add-on to the App-V 4.5 Client. It makes it possible to automatically, or by request, import and register App-V enabled (sequenced) applications into the App-V Client from any USB storage device.
The App-V 4.5 Client Diagnostic and Configuration tool makes it possible for administrators or users to troubleshoot virtual applications on their App-V Client and the environment they run in:
Launch predefined and custom commands within the virtual environment of each
application.
See the impact of the App-V Client and the available virtual applications on your system by
calculating package size, cache size, user delta file size, log file size etc.
Diagnose problems with App-V applications by parsing the App-V Client log file (in real time)
and search any message online.
Configure settings that are not visible in the App-V Client GUI, such as "Predictive
Streaming", "Allow Stream from File", "Max Package Age" and many more.
Give an overview of application and package information by merging important WMI,
registry and OSD information in one single window.
ACDC can be run both as an Administrator and as a Limited User. Running as a limited user
will limit the functionality of the tool due to the fact that it has less permission on the
system.

The App-V 4.5 Add-on ADM Template configures client setting for the App-V 4.5 for
Windows Desktops Client. The ADM template centrally manages common
client configurations by using an existing Group Policy infrastructure and
includes settings for communication, client Settings, client Interface and permissions.
The App-V 4.5 Add-on ADM Template is a template that fills the gap of the
Microsoft App-V ADM template. This template is supplementary to the
Microsoft App-V ADM Template.

The App-V OSD Editor is a GUI tool that allows you to open an existing App-V OSD file and edit it. All the possible categories are read from the App-V OSD file and displayed in the appropriate tab. You can insert and/or delete values from the OSD as you like. So you don't have to worry and opening and closing tags or anything like that any more. There are however some fields you can not edit with the OSD Editor. This is by design: these are fields that should never be edited like for example the GUID of the sequence. Additionally, the App-V OSD Editor also educates you on the meaning of some of the XML tags that can be used in App-V OSD files. Made by Jan van der Elst.

With this App-V Client Setup Kit (SGCSK) you can easily configure an universal installation VB Script for deploying theApp-V Client to Windows Desktops. Clients are always very different, you need additional intelligence during installation of the client. Also, certain configuration settings can not be configured using the native App-V Client installer.
Settings which can be configured by the SGCSK:
- All the standard installation options
- Dynamic Determination of App-V Client Cache Size
- App-V Client Security Settings
- Disconnect Operation Settings
Use the generated script to deploy the App-V Client to Windows desktops by importing it in your deployment solution!
This is the latest version of the True Control Templates (TCT) group policy templates for Citrix and Terminal Server. Made by Peter Nap.
