Hi..

Me again... god I feel like I am populating this forum...

Citrix 4.5 HR2 on Win 2003 using Flex and TCT.

I have noticed that the user profile folders have an increasing number of folders under the Application Data\Identities folder. These appear to be being created by Outlook each time the application is started...

Am I missing something from my Flex Profile ini?

Thanks
We're currently working on the Flex roadmap, and I can't really make any statements about what functionality will be included when. I expect that we'll be able to shed some more light on this some time next month.

We have been experiencing issues with Outlook and Flex profiles. With increasing frequency, users that have more than one mailbox in their Outlook profile are reporting that only their personal mailbox is appearing. And this is likely related, but users are reporting that their Outlook settings are missing when they open the app. In some cases, some users receive an error when trying to open Outlook and we have to delete the Flex settings to remedy the problem.

The other apps appear to open fine and when examining the dates on the Flex app settings, I find that they are current up to when the user last logs off.

Something else, sometimes when I have to go in and re-enter some of the users settings, I can log in/out of Outlook and all is well. But, as soon as I log completely out of Citrix, and then log back in, the settings are gone.

Everything used to work fine but lately this has been becoming more of an issue. Any help will be a blessing!

                                      Hi

Any ides why I cant get Local Setting to redirect? It still gets created locally!

I am using a UNC, but all of the other folders that I have specified are directing successfully using UNCs

If you're like me and get into details, and you want to know what process was locking and preventing the profile deletion, disable UPHClean in Services. Then look at the profile as an Admin after logoff. You will normally only find a couple of files left in the profile and it will "usually" point you to the offending process. I only mention this because it may be indicative of an issue that needs to be addressed (something that might rear its ugly head later). Then again, sometimes it's benign and you won't care.

Sometimes missed: the users have to have FULL CONTROL on the SHARE (then you can set Read-related permissions under Folder Security).

Also, the users must have READ rights to every folder in the Man Prof. With the new "single Mandatory Profile" policy in Server 2003, you can accidentally introduce an error condition. If you log into the environment as an Admin and policies don't process correctly, that Admin user will sometimes create subdirectories under the Mandatory Profile with rights granted only to them. This will then prevent the loading of the profile for ALL future users who don't have admin rights. As a rule of thumb, I create 1 or 2 separate user accounts who have higher than READ access to the Man Prof. All other admins, including myself, only have READ access.
